The popular Turkey Quads, played November 7-14-21, are now complete. Quad A was won by the third seed, John Frostad, while Vibi Varghese won Quad B, Grant Larocca and Jeremy Burnett tied for first in Quad C, Devin Wolford won Quad D, and Tristen Santilli won Quad E. Way to go, everyone! The event drew 20 players competing in five sections.

Hey, Kevin, Is there any chance the SCC will hold any quads in the East Valley area next year? I’d have some difficulty traveling to Spokane from CdA, although I’m thinking of moving to Washington and getting out of Redneck Idaho. Anyway, the club in past years sponsored 2 or 3 quads at the library in the valley, and I could attend them. Thanks for your consideration.
Good to hear from you again Rod! Dave Griffin no longer runs events, which is the primary reason we haven’t had anything out that way in awhile. We are holding USCF sections in conjunction with scholastic tournaments at St. John Vianney School in the Valley about once a month. The next one is December 14. They are three round dual-rated mini-Swiss events rather than quads, but at least they are in the Valley.
